Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP): RTSP is an application-level protocol for the transfer of real-time media data. The protocol is used to establish and control media sessions between end points by serving as a network-remote-control for time-synchronized streams of continuous media such as audio and video. RTSP was developed by the Multiparty Multimedia Session Control Working Group (MMUSIC WG) of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and published as RFC 2326.
